We privately hired Tea Island for my mums surprise retirement do. We had the afternoon tea (with a decent amount of Prosecco) and I can’t fault a thing. Linda and Samantha were so accommodating. Friendly and gave a great experience We had the best time and the food was beautiful. A special shout out for the egg mayonnaise sandwiches (I’m now a convert) and the absolute best lemon drizzle cake I’ve ever had. For a small local business we were treated like royalty. For an authentic tea room experience , you must treat yourself here

Had the most amazing afternoon at tea island hosting a baby “sprinkle” for my bestie. Linda was so accommodating and the guests were so happy. This was a great afternoon tea experience at such a reasonable price. Linda allowed us to decorate and we also had exclusive hire of the space. The tea pots, china and everything were so cute! I wish I’d have thought ahead and gotten everyone to dress up in an Alice and wonderland theme so we could do the beautiful set up justice! Thank you Linda and team for a lovely afternoon! Mummy to be is over the moon with her baby sprinkle!

We went with a voucher given to us for afternoon tea for our 50th wedding anniversary. Having perused it online, it seemed to be my kind of afternoon tea place - old fashioned sandwiches with basic fillings that you could add to if required (in my case, NOT required!!! Our table was reserved and we both began with English breakfast tea. The choice of sandwiches was extensive (ham and cheese in my case, tuna mayonaise with cucumber and ham with mustard for hubby. The bread was so fresh and not silly little skinny sandwiches. We had the equivilent of 4 slices of bread each. This was followed by fruit scones with clotted cream and jam, all freshly bake and heated if we wanted. We also had a slice of cake to follow, a huge chunk of Victoria sandwich and a slice of lemon drizzle.

Thankfully we booked a table because every table said 'reserved'. I have previously been to the Tea Island on the off chance. The ladies did manage to squeeze us in which was very kind of them. The service is always friendly, the food is freshly made and this characterful place is adorable!!! I definitely recommend a visit & I'll make sure to return myself.

A delightful place for meeting friends over coffee, lunch, afternoon tea. 4 of us met for tea/coffee. Ended having lunch. Good food and pleasant atmosphere very helpful proprietor and staff.

Linda delivered the most fantastic afternoon tea for partners 60th birthday, delicious sandwiches and cakes and for a extra special touch delivered on and with bone China plates, cake stand a tea pot and all assessories even down to the salad, crisps, sugar and tea bags. My partner loved it, highly recommended for something special for someone special. Thank you Linda xx

Had an amazing afternoon celebrating with friends and the food is excellent , good value for money , fresh and tasty . The staff make you feel so welcome and cannot do enough to make your experience enjoyable , relaxed and cozy . Would recommend to book as it gets busy .

My husband booked the Tea Island as a surprise for Afternoon Tea on Valentines Day. We have previously been for Afternoon Tea and really enjoyed it. On this occasion it was as good as ever. Deliciously fresh well filled sandwiches, we loved the added touch of chicken/salad wraps and Tortilla's, it made it all the more delicious. The scones were great, fruity and crumbly - yum 😋. We especially loved the selection of super moist cakes (lemon drizzle/victoria sandwich/chocolate fudge & carrot cake - so light & fluffy). Mustn't forget the chocolate dipped fresh strawberries 🍓 Linda and her staff are a delight, the service was so attentive. The tea was free flowing and we could take our time. What a gem, we will be visiting again very soon. Thank you to Linda and her staff for a very enjoyable and memorable afternoon ❤️

Went to Tea island for sandwiches cake and tea , I read the horrible review that was left on here and if I believed it I wouldn't have gone . But I am glad I did! what lovely people ! The sandwiches were freshly made ,scones were delicious as a professional cook I make scones and they crumble because scones don't have a high fat content the black spots in the cake were vanilla pod seeds ,The service was second to none,did not get hassled to leave, the shop was spotlessly clean thanks for a lovely experience

Absolutely amazing A 🌟 🤩 ⭐️ the service was out this world the layout was amazing the customer service nothing bad to say its like walking into a calm and welcoming environment with positive attitude and very clean
