Hornchurch-based Licensed Tea Room
We are Tea Island, a family-run restaurant located in the heart of Hornchurch. Since opening our doors in 2017, we have been serving up delicious food and drinks in a beautiful, quirky tea room. Our vintage theme takes you back to the golden years of the 60's, complete with all your favourite tunes.
In addition to our popular afternoon teas, we also offer light lunches and a wide range of drinks including bubbles, wines, beers, and spirits. At Tea Island, we are proud to host private events such as baby showers and special occasions to make your experience with us even more memorable.

Afternoon tea
£20.95 per person.
Afternoon Tea at Tea Island offers traditionally British, thinly sliced finger sandwiches ( two full sandwiches per person) and scones with tiptree strawberry jam and clotted cream, served on elegant tiered stands. The Patisseries selection includes a range of mini desserts. Also featured is our English breakfast tea, earl grey or instant coffee.
The options for sandwich fillings are, cucumber, mature cheddar cheese, tuna, egg mayo, cured ham and chicken salad, there is an option of wraps if preferred.
Speciality teas and coffee available at extra cost. We are also fully licensed with a good selection of wines, beers, spirits and the best Prosecco in Essex 😊
On Saturdays we offer our traditionally British afternoon tea at set times 11.30-2pm or 2.30-4.30
An 10% OPTIONAL service charge will be added for tables 4 people or over.
Deposit is £10 per person to be paid at time of booking to secure your booking, by cash or bank transfer.
Please note that deposits are strictly NON REFUNDABLE.

GUIDELINES PLEASE READ
Apologies but due to the size of the shop We are unable to offer Gluten free or vegan options.
Any dietary requirements in regards to allergies must be advised at the time of booking, as we will be unable to accommodate any menu changes after, all our cakes would have come into contact with nuts at the point of baking and storing.
We are sorry but we cannot accommodate pushchairs or highchairs on Saturdays unless the shop is privately hired.
Please let us know upfront if you’re planning to bring any sort of decorations. PLEASE NO CONFETTI of any sort due to health and safety regulations.
To save time when in groups could you please try to pay the bill as a whole and not separately. Thank you for your consideration.
Only food and drinks purchased from Tea Island can be< consumed on the premises.
